Because of the tree-structure in which the groups are aranged one can quickly see dependencies, and identify mother- and childgroups. Each user can be assigned to as many groups as needed. |

Corinis distinguishes between 2 kind of authorities:
- Authorities to perform a function (called functionauthority) - e.g. creation of a document
- Authorities on a specific object (called elementauthorities) - e.g. the authority to create a document in a certain directory
External modules can be integrated into this authority-system very easy.
